I'd like to see what folks around the globe (country?) get from Fox in the two hours that precede Prime Time.
I'm in the Philadelphia viewing market, and my line up is
6:00: Dharma 6:30: Simpsons 7:00: Simpsons 7:30: Seinfeld
Who has it better or worse? Does anyone get Simpsons in the evening, after the news?

It's worse here. There are no Simpsons at all on Fox here except Sunday night when they air the new episode.

The Fox station here is the one coming out of Plattsburg, New York
It seems to me like Simpsons syndication is plentiful in the big cities like NY, SF, LA, Chicago, and Philly, while smaller markets get few (if any) reruns. Fewer stations means less room for multiple airings of any show, especially one that's been in syndication for a few years now.

In Cleveland we used to get 2 Simpsons at 6 (actually, it used to be just 6, then 6 and sometimes 11, then 5:30-6:30), but in September they knocked one off completely for That 70s Show, so it's Simpsons-70s-Friends-Friends (talk about skewed priorities). Reminds me of the ABC owned station in San Francisco, KGO. Their news is so sensationalist the joke is "KGO" stands for "Killers, Guts & Orgasms". This doesn't make them unique in any way, of course:)

That's also us here in Houston, except it starts at five and goes 'til seven. And it's always the same twenty or thirty "Simpsons" eps., so I don't even bother to watch 'em any more. Now I only really check out "Drew Carey."

It's not quite the information you're after, but hey, it's something to compare and contrast with:
Here in the UK, those of us without Sky or Cable or Digital or whaetever get one Simpsons episode every weekday night, at 6pm on BBC2. They're usually good enough to show a season straight through with the episodes in the correct order (rather than just random episodes), and recently have even shown seasons in chronological order too, though season 10 is the most up-to-date ones they've shown. Mind you, from all the double-figures seasons bashing that goes on in here, it doesn't sound like we're missing much.
The good thing is, the eps are almost always shown complete with no cuts, and are not punctuated by commercial breaks at all. Which is nice. They're rarely cancelled for anything either - I think the only thing I've seen usurp the regular Simpsons slot has been golf in the summer.
Not a bad output for our meagre 4 quality channels :)

I have no idea what Fox affiliate i get on my satellite but my mom has cable and she gets Rochester's Fox and the simpsons is on at six followed by king of the hill and then i don't remember what. Having a satellite though means i get the Simpsons at least three times a day and then those episodes are repeated over and over on different time zones.;

We've got one local tv-channel ( 3+ ) on cabel who broadcast the same Simpsons episode twice every weekday (at 7:00pm and again during the night, usaully between 12am and 4am). They are at least one season behind - some times more. Right now they are going through the 13th season for the second time now. They show a hole season as it is, then they pick a new one. Usually from season 5 or later.
The good things is that they show every epsiode completly uncut, and with subtitles rather that synchronizing it.
But we do get NFL live, which is sometimes showed on FOX, through another local tv-station (TV2 Zulu).

WFXT Fox25 in Boston shows it at 7:30 pm and 11:30 pm. There have been a few times over the years where they moved something else (like "Drew Carey") into the 7:30 pm slot, and moved the 7:30 showing to 6:00 or 6:30, but it never lasts for more than a month or two.
WNDS-50, an independent station in New Hampshire, shows it at 5:30 pm.

They own the rights to the Simpsons, but only show them on Sundays at 5:30 and 6 if not preempted by sports, and also at 10:00 and 10:30. Hey, we've gotta have Matlock and MASH (rolls eyes). Last year they were even airing Caroline in the f-ing City at 5 pm. Talk about lame.

Let's see, my TV schedule goes like this: 530-6 is PTI, 6-630 is a mix of SNL on comedy central or sportscenter. Usually the latter. 630-730 is relegated to the Simpsons and nothing else. I'll sit through the end of the Steve Harvey Show, urges to go to the bathroom and commercials like the dude freestyling and human beatboxing to the Chili's jingle to not miss a moment of OFF. 730-8 is Will and Grace. After that I usually pass out from waking up at 8 in the morning everyday.
