Could somebody give me a quick summary of what happens in this episode (Last Exit to Springfield)?
I'm interested because of the recent talk about the Ribwich Requiem For A Dream reference. You see, I've read a lil' something called Last Exit to Brooklyn, which was written (maybe around 1960) by a man named Hubert Selby, Jr., who was also the author of the original story Requiem For A Dream (which was written maybe around 1978).
Last Exit to Brooklyn was fairly graphic, as was RFAD, and I wanted to know if there is anything that takes place in the episode that may be a reference beyond just the episode's title.
Maybe some writers are fans of Hubert Selby, Jr.'s works. Thanks in advance.
