i saw the halloween special. it was great but the 2 others are a bit disapointing let's hope that the rest will make it better

this is not meant to put down people that like the simpsons this year. Has anyone noticed that this season has been pretty bad so far? It seems every show has been un-funny, I keep waiting for a good episode. Has the simpsons finally lost its magic? jumped the shark? Or do you think it is just a bad start to the season or am I totally wrong (not likely!).

I never thought I'd say it, but "All Grown Up" on Nick is a far better cartoon than the current Simpsons.

This season got off to a mediocre start, but this past Sunday's episode (Today I Am A Clown) was definetely the best Simpsons episode since Little Girl In The Big Ten, if not since The City of NY vs. Homer Simpson. I haven't enjoyed a first-run Simpsons episode this much in a long time...it actually felt like I was watching old-school Simpsons. It wasn't a totally flawless episode, but I didn't really notice the flaws until after the episode when I thought about it and read the comments here. Nothing while I was watching it made me groan or shake my head or anything like that. I just hope they keep this up and don't drop a really bad episodes that will crush my hopes of the show's return to form (like they did when they followed up the aforementioned LGITBT with the God-awful Frying Game).

this is my favorite season since maybe season 8. i think that the show has gotten 76% better this year over last year
