Thoughts on Tonight's Episode:

Sweet Get Smart opening... Best couch gag in a few seasons. Anyone remember the remake of the show on Fox with Andy Dick? I think that was who was on it.

Veggietales jokes are still funny to me. KOTH did it earlier this season, but it is still cool. The show really is not that bad for a pseudo X-ian show.

This episode needed Jim Varney for the Carney Kitchen. Also that reminded me of deep friend Twinkies. Anyone ever had that at the state fair? Maybe it is a southern thing?

That bear was a little less cartoon-ey then the illegal immigrants episode bear. Does this mean that the anti-bear patrol is not on the job anymore. That bear tax was paid for nothing!

Rod and Todd are still not on sugar. Reminds me of the Homer loves Flanders episode (there's no sugar in a pixie stix). Or was there an episode earlier where they were diabetic? Or was it both?

Weird that both the Simpsons and Bernie Mac are playing Survivor ("eye of the tiger") music tonight

Starlight Vocal Band-Homer used to have a tattoo of them right?

I like the wildlife guy. He is pretty neat with all his animal killing.

Hmm Stampy made a cameo. Sweet. Some animals are just jerks.

Review:

It started really well, but got kinda boring towards the end. It was funny and completely plausible that Homer could make an 80 lb sugar ball and fall in love with it, but I do not like how it turned into some weird fight against a bear for no reason. I will give this one a B for that great first act and the Get Smart opening. (B)

Stephen:

The episode with the private investigator (I forget the title) established that one of them was diabetic, so the other might or might not be. In "Bart After Dark," though, Ned says that he let Todd buy a box of Red Hots with a cartoon devil on the box. Hmm, are there such things as sugar-free Red Hots?

He apparently still does, unless he paid to have it removed.

Bart didn't mention him by name, so it might have been a different jerky elephant. Sure looked and acted like Stampy, though.
