In Stark Raving Dad, there is a home-movie-show parody with the following movies - Man Breaking Leg, Dog On Fire, and Baby With Nailgun. Baby with Nailgun? Maggie with Nailgun maybe? Perhaps, firing it at Homer in Bye Bye Nerdie in a "hilarious" sequence? Now that says a lot really.

no no no, that's totally different. that was intended to look blatantly uninspired and incredibly dumb, from the title of it to the actual movie itself. and in the context of the episode nobody thought it was funny apart from Homer, and Marge said it was the "stupidest movie" - Homer eventually seeing sense and voting for Barney's movie. Basically, "Man Getting Hit By Football" was very funny, but not because we got to see a man getting hit by a football.
The nailgun scene was meant to be a humorous scene in the episode - it was intended to be funny because it was funny, whereas Man Getting Hit By Football was intended to be funny because it wasn't funny.
