My major impression of the episode was that it lacked imagination and they really fell back on predictable, old ideas and gags. I was actually thought of the 'Yoko' gag myself - and bugger me - next moment I hear it come out of the TV. Pretty lazy and predictable writing, really. They need to writers who are still keen and not jaded by the looks of things.

As for the intro... my above comments again multiplied a 100 times.

I see a lot of criticism levelled at the later seasons, which IMO has perhaps been overly critical... they've been different from the original style of humour for sure - but inferior? I'm not so sure of that.

But the last few episodes of season 18 and the first 2 from 19 really leave me cold. Whatever it is that they've changed within Simpsons Inc... I hope they stop it before it is too late.

Last thing I want is to be so negative and critical... but it really was (overall) a fairly poor effort, which more than anything else seems to stem from simple laziness and/or a lack of passion.

Not to say there were no good moments, of course!

Of course we are still in the 18th season. Why would anyone think episode JABF18 would be of different quality than JABF15?
