THOH II playset - $35/$40?

If anyone has already found the Treehouse of Horror II playset, how much was it? A buddy of mine ran into a guy in the toy aisles who said this year's set had two different prices "in the computer", depending on the store - some at $34.99 and some at $39.99.

While I won't go on record saying this will prevent me from buying the set, it will sure go a long ways towards it. Last year's set was $30 and included 4 distinct figures. This year's set has a throwaway Homer resculpt, two figures of the identical Kang & Kodos, and *may* be $10-15 more? That's bullshit, pure and simple. There's a buttload of Star Wars B-Wings clogging Target at $39.99 due to similar "rape 'em while we got 'em" marketing plans. Not to mention most TRUs I see are stuffed months-old $80 lizards...

Anyway - does anyone know the correct price, and even if you don't, what do you think is a fair price for this set?

No kidding, the large Dewback must have been the poorest Star Wars seller of the 2000/2001 season. There are so many of these freakin things choking the action figure isles that it's not even funny. Ditto the Sith Lords two-pack and just about every single Darth Maul variation out there. My local Toys R Us actually had a few 300th edition Boba Fett figures last week, though.

As for the THOH playset: I bought three of them from two different locations and they were both $34.99.
