Ok has anyone else heard the Oliver Beene commercials this week? There was one that was something to the effect of " No wonder it follows the Simpsons". We will see how many people are changing the channels after tonight's Simpsons. 16 million people can change their minds and then King of the Hill or Futurama can move back to 8:30. Well, that will not happen.

Also, Why is Homer even more of a jerkass these days? Last week he is giving a beer to Maggie and this week he just has to stare at women's breasts? Why dont the writers look at some of the earlier episodes from the show to see how Homer deals with attractive women without being an ass.

Would have been better if: A Tom Robbins type guy were the business motivator instead of Mr. generic richman. Actually, I would have stood for having him as a guest spot. Anyone remember him from the Beavis and Butthea d episode???

a Misnumber: At the end of tonight's episode, there is a sign that reads: "Homer's 305th everything is back to normal bbq" so either one episode ended with everything not being normal or they showed this episode one week too early. Silly writers.

Review:

Yawn. Did anything funny happen in tonight's episode? There were lots of meh I guess in some universe that could be funny, but nothing had me rolling in the floor or even laughing out loud. I guess Homer being able to run the power plant could be funny, but we did not get to see him actually running the plant. What would have been funny would have been to see some of his ideas as to how to be a better leader than Burns. Instead all we get is him looking at paperwork and being away from his family. Boring. Since no one even thought to address the idea, I give this one a C.

It was BABF10 - "Alone Again, Natura-Diddily" that didn't end with everything back to normal.

What about the fact that Barney is no longer a drunk? I would consider that abnormal. And on a semi-related note, are they just going to ignore the fact that they ended the episode with Smithers serving an 80 year prison term?

305 was probably refering to "Who Shot Mr Burns," since there was 2 episodes combined into one super-over-the-summer-wondering-what-the-hell-will-happen episode. -Aaron TheYAM.net

That's a more likely possibility.

Or one week too late... but now that I think about it, maybe they did that on purpose to see how we'd react...so far I've seen references to BABF10 not returning to normal, 2F16 and 2F20 = one episode, the ideas that they got it wrong or expected it to air a week earlier, my own idea that 7G08 couldn't have returned to normal because it was the first one (though even then, Bart gets a tattoo and it's removed...), and so forth. (maybe Benjamin Robinson should keep track of the ideas for use in the capsule!)

I think I may have used the wrong person... ok I know I did. Tom Robbins is the guy who wrote such great novels as Another Roadside Attraction and Even Cowgirls Get the Blues. Anthony Robbins (no relation as far as I know) is the motivational speaker.
