I've seen this mentioned in various Simpsons episodes and largely ignored it, but it's bugging me now - what is this mysterious "egg nog" drink?
Is it something made up just for the simpsons, or is it a real drink in the USA? What's it made of (other than eggs, obviously) ?

To put it succintly and in Engligh, it's a drink made from milk, eggs, various spices, and of course, rum (the stuff they sell in stores uses rum flavouring.) These days, it's a Christmas drink, but IIRC, in one of the "Little House on the Prairie" books, they drank it to cool off while working in the field on a hot summer's day.

I can verify this as my life is representative of the average Americans life... I think. Well anyways when I was a kid I would drop a couple of eggs in the blender with orange juice. Eat with toast very nice.
