Prinicipal Tanza... I mean Skinner

Is it just me or is Skinner falling into the background. Today, in both shows he stated the obvious, at less then opertune times. Do you think they are just saving Skinner until his wedding?

I just realized that Lisa making reference to the Forbidden Tanzarian Episode violates what seemed to be a longstanding rule that that ep wasn't quite canonical and was never going to be mentioned again. On pain of death!

Of course, there was the mutual hiding between them...and the death of three cats could be considered torture to a person who loves animals as much as Lisa...

Notice that there have been several things this season that were not "supposed" to happen:

• Tanzarian mentioned.

• Someone noticed that the teacher's name could be pronounced "crab apple".

• Dr. Monroe came back.

If we didn't know there was going to be at least another season, it would almost seem as if they were going through and doing all the "forbidden" things just to do them before the show ends.

What's next? Revealing a state for Springfield?

That's sort of a major, last episode reveal type thing...and will never happen b/c Springfield isn't in any state...the rest of the things you mentioned are minor...
