DYN: ...Lisa suggests that Bart's previously ruined Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas - the last two we've seen, but despite the many Treehouses of Horror, not really Halloween? ...the Dr. Lenny character doesn't seem to be a verson of our Lenny (am I missing something)?
Previous episode stuff 7F22: Moe tearfully recounts the "Mike Rotch" gag (though he doesn't quote exactly; the original had a "lately" at the end) DORIS HABF15, JABF02, KABF06, LABF08, MABF12, NABF11, NABF13, NABF15, NABF16, PABF06, PABF15, PABF19, RABF03, RABF09, RABF10 IT KEEPS GOING. It isn't the first set of consecutive episodes, but while NABF15/16 aired as season finale/premiere, this is the first one to air a week after the previous one. Oddly, Willie refers to "Dora"; was that a joke I didn't get, or are we to take this as a separate character?
Goofs -Both the speed and light and Faraday constant need units to get a useful number, though at least the value used for the latter is in the standard units of C/mol. -Smithers tells Burns that he just turned down the first chance to be of real help (with Lisa), then moments later seems to know that the "Dr. Lenny" situation was real?
Meta -Matt Groening is the courtroom artist who can't draw Bart at all (which we see with an appropriately Matt-style sketch, plus its own meta gag of "under indictment [underachiever] and proud of it, man!") -Moe is traumatized by the embarrassment of Bart's prank calls, and we see his despair when Bart is off the hook
Dedication Keep a watch out for repeats - it wasn't in the usual spot, but there was a dedication to a Reno before the copyright/production code screen. I didn't catch all the text. Also Janet Reno's credit had another name underneath it?
Also The new episode of The Cleveland Show (California Dreamin' (All the Cleves are Brown) (3APS23)) right after this one had a small subplot about Junior rallying people who wear superhero costumes in LA to actually do some crimefighting, and there were a few Batman types among them. Fun.
