Isn't that a Simpson's writer? I was watching a rerun of Suddenly Susan (don't ask) and one of the character's name is Ian Maxtone-Graham. I know I've seen that name on the episode where they went to the race track and Lisa saw the carvings on a tree and she said something about nobody wanting to see people's names. Then the writer's names spun in real big. Am I crazy? HUH?

Often writers throw in jokes about their friends, family and co-workers. In Seinfeld, the character Lloyd Braun is named after an NBC exec. I would imagine one of the writers of Suddenly Susan is friends with or has worked with Ian Maxtone-Graham and threw in his name just for kicks.

A lot of people don't realize this, but "Suddenly Susan" is actually a spinoff of "The Simpsons".
