Not bad - I know it was a Lisa/environmental episode, but for that it was well done. Shades of 2F32 ('Round Springfield) for Lisa's grief, and GABF18 (Bonfire of the Manatees) too. But what was with the table saw into Homer's head and the bizarre explosion of electricity into the house (no circuit breakers or surge protectors, or appliances that obey the laws of physics)?? That skeleton scene was just bizarre.

The "Gas, grass, or ass" banner - with the usual meaning quickly explained away - isn't in the usual order (ass, gas, or grass [nobody rides for free]).
The episode starts with Homer freaking out because of a high electric bill. Just this week I got my most recent bill... for over $600... because they haven't read the meter since December and charged only a small amount per month until now! More of a personal anecdote than anything, but it was a funny coincidence.
Finally The blow-up-the-dead-beached-whale thing has been tried before, with the same results (for comedy explanation search for a Dave Barry column or something). I guess it only makes sense that Springfield would do this too.
