Why do they cut out so much footage from episodes in syndication...it makes me so mad...STUPID BARBEQUE PIT!!!!

Yeah! Do they have to chop up the show just so they can air an extra commercial? I assume this is the reason, otherwise what's the point?

Syndication cuts suck. I don't watch when they cut the episodes. most of the time they look for what's the funniest part of the episode and take that out.

I was pretty young when the show started, so I can't even remember what was cut from most episodes. I don't know what I'm missing. Stupid sexy Flanders. ________________________________________________________________

I was listening to the S2 commentry yesterday and I heard one of the director's saying that in "Lisa's Substitute," when it airs in his local area they always cut the bit where Homer tucks Maggie in near the end!
