Anyone notice in the first clipshow (when Bart plays a dangerous April Fools Day joke on Homer), they show a clip from Treehouse of Horror I (aka The Simpsons Halloween Special)? But how can that be?!?!? How can that be?!?!?!?

no, actually, never noticed that before. The first treehouse of horrors was about storytelling more than just wacky stuff happening, as it has been since. Maybe they were recalling their stories???

That THOH was actually built around a central story line (Bart and Lisa and Homer in the Treehouse). So it would be possible for them to remember the story that they told.
