I'll have to DVR Donnie Fatso again (my Fox affiliate KTTV only permits 5 recorded Simpsons episodes), but in the Lionel Richie one it plays several times after Homer realizes he won't get to fly in Burns's jet every day. IIRC the first time is when Homer is moping alone in Krusty Burger.

It does sound very much like Clair de Lune, but it must be an arrangement I'm not familiar with. The time seems to work out, at least. The only version I have on hand is Stokowski with the Philadelphia Orchestra, but his arrangement is very different than this. It was a coincidence that I had the sheet music hanging around - I don't like that song very much.

I have a vague memory of an orchestral version made popular by some semi-recent movie...something about a really big bank robbery? No, not Twilight. For some reason I'm thinking it was a James Bond movie, but it definitely wasn't. Anyway, it sounded very similar to this. That's the best I've got, sorry.

Thank you and no need to be sorry, that was basically all I wanted to know. It was probably something Alf Clausen did specifically for OFF. I dunno why he hasn't won more than two Emmys.
