Jan. 25 episode

A better than usual Marge-centric episode. Which still means it wasn't very good, but you can't have everything, and I still think that Season 15 as a whole is an improvement over 13 or 14. (So far, anyways.)

Best moments were the novelistic depictions and the glimpse inside Lisa's brain. Plus I loved Flanders' caveman remark, and Homer's reasoning that since the manuscript was double-spaced, he was halfway thru reading it! A classic archetypal example of Homer's brilliant idiocy (or idiotic brilliance) just like the old days.

Two jaw-dropping moments: 1. What the hell was up with Dr. Monroe's apparent return from the dead?; and 2. You mean to tell me that was actually Thomas Pynchon's voice?! Unbelievable! - who's next, J.D. Salinger?

Getting Bobby Fischer would be good. Speaking of recluses, Roy Orbison would be a good one, too. What, he's already dead? THE CURSE, THE CURSE! It is so insidious that it kills you before you even get on the show!
