these seem better the second time around

This isn't the first time that a new episode has seemed quite a bit better on the rerun. I just finished watching the ___ episode - The first time I barely laughed, but this time there were quite a few gags that some chuckles. I especially liked the lobsters ogling Marge (in the background as well after the initial joke), Homer discovering them in bed, and the whole Bart imitating Krusty gag. It definitely had its share of duds as well, but I was actually amused this time.

Does anybody else find this with the newer episodes?

Haha oops, I went to check the name of the episode but never filled it in. I was talking about the Large Marge episode. :)

I can't ever bring myself to watch the newer episodes more than once. This was my first viewing of Large Marge and it was pretty stupid.

Most of the time, no. After Season 10 most of the episodes had the same amount of humor, even after watching them twice. But then again, I don't watch episodes over and over again in some desperate attempt to find something funny.
