Another "where is Springfield?" non-clue

In "Simple Simpson", when Lisa is telling Homer she knows he's the superhero, she says something like "we've been getting his mail for weeks". The address on the envelope is "742 Evergreen Terrace, Springfield, USA."

Your sarcasm covers over an interesting point. Namely, that we used to discuss the possibility that Springfield was in Canada. But, the "Springfield, USA" has been around for awhile.

They could still be in some foreign country or fictional place like Florida or Long Island, however.
