While I disagree that the Simpsons should end now, I do agree that tonight's episode was God awful.

I liked tonights episode, so I disagree with both of you. Since when must Simpsons always be based 100% on reality? I'm sick of reality television! They take a realistic concept (Adults being fed up with children) and take it to an extreme hilarious level that could not be done any other way. What is so wrong about that?

I thought the execution of the storyline was akward, but there were some damn funny jokes in tonights ep. The "propane in my urethra" included. And the Roofy song cracked me up for some reason. His accent. :D

I missed the episode...I really hope it isn't as bad as some people are saying it was. The first two episodes of this production season were really great and got my hopes up...I hope they're not going to be crushed. It wouldn't be the first time...I was so disappointed when they followed up the excellent Little Girl In The Big Ten with the horrible Frying Game.

The episode I kept thinking of as I watched tonight was "Wild Barts Can't Be Broken". The two episodes cover the same ground, but "Wild Barts..." had a more coherent plot and was in many respects funnier. Tonight's episode had some nice visual humor (eg. the vent that took the townsfolks' money), but seemed lacking for the most part.
