Which comes first: the animation, or the recording session?

The voice recording (well, most of it...they can still re-record lines if the mouth movements are close enough) is done before the animation. I think the sound effects are done after the animation is mostly done, or concurrently...and the music (songs and cues) is usually done all that; I think Alf takes about a week to score each episode, and based on the articles I've read it sounds like it's the week or a few weeks before the episode airs.
