I was listening to one of commentaries on one of the Simpsons DVD's, and Matt Groening mentions an old movie about how bad oil companies are, his interest in public transport, etc etc. Then I read an article how he drives a late model BMW M5. Not exactly a fuel efficient car.
Does anyone find this just a bit hypcritical???

Leonardo DiCaprio has one of those fuel efficient cars...but he also has 1600 other non-fuel efficient cars.
This is why the Republicans will sweep every election for the next 50 years.

I suspsect Groening, and most people hunting for a new car, don't look that closely at EPA figures. They probably just think, hey, it's not a huge truck, so how bad could the gas mileage be?
