Sure. There's just alot of weirdos in here that can't back up what they say with proof, like Zed. ([email])

Thanks.

Depends on the person. A lot of people on this newsgroup are either:

Attention Getters: Those who just want attention with sex or hate nonsense.

Simpson Nazis: Those who complain about the show's current situation.

Typical Fans: Like me

Other than the fact that we are all dysfunctional, we are one happy family.

You're just saying that because you can't get laid :o)

Rack, you're cut for keeping up this ridiculous argument that Homer said "hungry" when he REALLY said "horny"...

I can't believe this was ever debated on this newsgroup. I just relistened to this episode on my computer with headphones (to be sure I didn't miss some previously unheard ambiguity) and Homer clearly says "I'm horny". There's really no question about it, even with his jaw closed while speaking. There's no 'oar' sound in hungry, but it is clearly present here.

In addition, "I'm horny" makes much more comedic sense in the context of the scene; Marge talking about what a lovely evening it is, Homer says "I'm horny", Marge assumes he said 'something beautiful'. "Horny" makes the 'something beautiful' line much more funny than "hungry", especially considering Homer and Marge are having a romantic evening at the time.

Anywho, just my thoughts. I suppose if you want to believe Homer's line was "I'm hungry", that's your right. :)

It will take a lot more than that to covince SF.

No. Read above.

You have a very small idea of the universe. Get your own ears checked. Think of the context of the episode before you run your mouth next time.

Yeah but when you ask for proof from some nameless weirdos here, they start getting all defensive. It will take alot more than just your word on the subject.

Yes, it IS a right. I'm American, you surely aren't.

No. YOU read above.

Simpsons FanUsualNoise

That's funny that a person can talk "clearly" and there's "really no question" when their jaw is WIRED SHUT. (Wasn't that the name of the episode?)

I didn't know being horny is "much more funny". He hadn't eaten because his JAW was WIRED SHUT. Everyone laughed at the Isotopes episode when he said he was so hungry because he had was doing a HUNGER strike. Yeah, I know, it would of been more funny if he would of said horny at a baseball game.

Anyhow, it was debated here by alot of people on both sides until idiots like Z, Zed, Jeb, Zeb, whatever resorted to personal attacks. Thanks for letting me have my rights. I feel so American.

Thanks.

Well, the clincher for me is that there is no 'g' sound in the word Homer says. In addition, if you close your mouth (teeth together, lips open) you can pretty clearly say both 'horny' and 'hungry'. That is why I say Homer 'clearly' said horny (no 'g' sound = no 'hungry').

This is my exact point. The context of the hunger strike episode made Homer saying he was hungry funny. The context of Jaws Wired Shut (romantic evening with Marge, 'something beautiful' comment) made him saying he was horny funny. He certainly wasn't on a hunger strike in this episode - he snorted a steak, after all.

You all can stop arguing with Simpsons Fan now. This argument was done to death when the episode first aired. Either he really believes Homer said "horny," in which case you're not going to change his mind, or he is just screwing with you. Either way, there is no point in continuing this ridiculous argument.

Kevin

ZedKevin Madden

Simpsons Fan is just screwing with you. He's trying to continue an argument about nothing in the hopes of getting people angry and making more and more useless posts appear on the newsgroup and therefore wasting everyone's time in downloading them.

That's what trolls do. I killfiled him a long time ago.

Of course I meant to say "...he really believes Homer said 'hungry'"

Kevin

Simpsons FanUsualNoise

Yeah I used that too, that he was so hungry that he was even snorting steak, and some over sex crazed idiot said I was wrong. (HOMER'S HORNY, HE'S SOOOO HORNY!!!!) It was still a good episode nevertheless.

Thanks for adding to the discussion, I truly want to see the re-run or the episode again in syndication.
