Yes, definetely. As it is I was pretty damn sure the episode would stink seeing the ads and descriptions for it, then seeing Mike Scully's WRITING credit pretty much made me KNOW it would suck, and after seeing the episode, which proved me right, I saw Mike Scully listed as EXECUTIVE PRODUCER. Now I don't know what's going on here, I suppose it might be a holdover from season 12 or before (anyone know the production code?), but I hope Scully isn't controlling the show again.

Could be a typo. Al Jean even said there were problems in the Scully era.

I hope not either, unless he's seen the error of his ways...it's DABF22, so certainly not a season 12 holdover, but since it is the last of the production series maybe they handed it to him as the DABF equivalent of 5F24 or 4F23 (not the end of that series, I know, but I liked 4F24). Actually I enjoyed tonight's episode.

Yes, that episode was good...but I'm guessing the people in charge of the show at the time forced him to change some things.

Remember how Al Jean and Mike Reiss got executive producer credits for several episodes of the show after their original tenure as showrunners was over? David Mirkin also got an executive producer credit for a show after he handed the reins to Oakley and Weinstein. I believe in both cases that the former showrunners were heavily involved in the making of those new episodes and were credited accordingly. Perhaps this is what happened with tonight's show.
