The AMBER Alert is a notification to the general public about a case of child abduction. Named after Amber Hagerman, a 9-year old who was abducted and killed in 1996, the AMBER, via various forms of communications including TV, radio, and traffic condition signs, informs people of the child who is abducted and the person who abducted him/her.
