Upcoming Episodes CORRECTION

I've been told that Fox has decided that, rather than show new episodes against the Emmy Awards on November 4, the schedule has been changed:

10/28 - PRE-EMPTED for Game 2 of the baseball World Series

11/4 - TRIPLE FEATURE
7:30 - Simpsons Tall Tales (BABF21)
    When Homer refuses to pay an airline tax, the Simpsons travel
    to Delaware by train, where a hobo tells stories of Homer as
    Paul Bunyan, Lisa as "Connie" Appleseed, and Bart and Nelson
    as Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn

8:00 - Treehouse of Horror XI (CABF17)
    Homer dies, and has 24 hours to perform a good dead in order
    to get into heaven; the Simpsons spoof Grimm's Fairy Tales,
    especially "Hansel and Gretel"; Lisa frees a dolphin from a
    sea park, only for the dolphin to lead an attack against humans

8:30 - Trilogy of Error (CABF14)
    When Homer's thumb is cut off in a breakfast accident, it has
    an effect on Marge's, Lisa's, and Bart's lives
* NOTE: If the World Series lasts 7 games, Game 7 will be shown in
  place of all three episodes

Tuesday, 11/6 - SEASON PREMIERE - Treehouse Of Horror XII (CABF19)
    House of Whacks (Pierce Brosnan voices a computer that takes over
    the house, falls in love with Marge, and tries to kill Homer);
    Curse Of The Dummy (Homer is jinxed with the "touch of death");
    Wiz Kids (a Harry Potter parody in which "Lord Montymort" tries
    to kidnap Lisa)

11/11 - "OFFICIAL" SEASON PREMIERE - The Parent Rap (CABF22)
    Jane Kaczmarek ("Malcolm in the Middle") guest voices as a
    judge who orders Homer and Bart to be shackled together after
    Bart is convicted of "borrowing" a police car...and it's "the
    more the merrier" after Marge's attempt to cut them apart

        Futurama will air 11/4 after all (subject to NFL coverage,
        of course...)

Thats a week after Holloween. .. How incredably stupid is that... even dumber then last years airing the day after Holloween

That's what I think too. Why not show it on Halloween night? (providing there isn't a ball game on)

Two, one of the show's bigshots said in a recent interview that they try not to show it on Halloween as quite a few of the show's viewers are out, either trick-or-treating (or following their children around trick-or-treating) or at some party.

(As for parents who follow their kids from a distance: I put up a sign warning everybody of an alien invasion with the aliens masquerading as human adults, but you could recognize them by their glowing "energy packs", with a drawing of those glow sticks the parents invariably wear because they think a car going down the street is going to see those things in enough time to stop...)

When I heard that Ally premieres that night I was kind of hoping they would show it that night. They could have done a double header THOH as a lead in for Ally. But I forgot about stupid Boston Public.

I, too, am not thrilled with broadcasting "Treehouse of Horror XII" on November 6. Not only is this a week late, but it's on an off-schedule day (Tuesday) for the show, as well. (I missed "Treehouse of Horror XI (CABF17)" in part because it aired on a Wednesday, and forgot to tune in.) Fox kind of got stuck, though. Terrorist attacks prompted Major League Baseball to delay the season to the point where playoffs and World Series games claimed most of the available nights for "ToH." I was kind of hoping they'd air the episode tonight, but I guess Fox feld they'd do better with "Boston Public." Oh ... goody.

I know -- we can consider the show *really* early for next Halloween.
