Inside the Actors Studui-very annoying

The public finally, after all these years, gets to see the actors do the voices (wasnt there a gag rule in place?) and what does this show do? They show clips of the Simpsons instead of the actors faces while they were actually doing the voices (well about 70% of that time anyway).That was extremely stupid and frsutrating. Very bad job director!

That really irritated me too. We've seen the animation, thanks.

I'd like a director's cut DVD of this program, where you can choose visuals of either the animation or the actors...

It was fun seeing some of the clips again, but yeah, I'd prefer more visuals of the people themselves(for the record, they HAVE done the voices on various shows before, but the public script readings aside, they've never all been there doing it before, I don't think). I can see why they covered up Julie Kavner though (she's said she doesn't like being seen doing the voices, as she doesn't want people to associate the character with her, I think).

Hey.. I looked on the Bravo website, and they do refer to the ItAS ep everyone is referring to, but it didn't show that it was being aired.. anyone know when the next time it will air will be?

The comedic radio quiz show "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me" on NPR had an amusing Dan Castlanetta internview. It is, of course, a _radio_ show, so you don't get that amusement of watching the actors doing the voices, but I liked it.

Uh: "I know its a bit impolite to ask for requests, but can you say Homer's campaign slogan?"

Fox has forbidden them to show the actors' faces. They don't want the public at large to realize that the Simpsons are in fact not real. It's a yellowing conspiracy.

Is it just me, or did Julie Kavner appear to be uncomfortable during the show?Then, about halfway through, she disappeared. I wonder if she gives her paychecks to charity.

They were all uncomfortable, save for Harry, Yeardly and Nancy. You'll note that Dan and Hank seem to reach for their water glass frequently after doing a voice. It's a nervous habit...
