Sorry this is late, but it looks like the Friday night/Saturday morning posts are a thing of the past; TVGuide.com recently changed its system, and one of the things it did reduces how long in advance the listings start to appear to exactly 15 days from whatever time it is at the moment (so Simpsons listings two weeks in advance are not available until Saturday night)

8/31 - I'm Spelling as Fast as I Can (EABF07)
    George Plimpton guest voices as himself when Lisa qualifies for
    the "Spellympics", only to be offered a college scholarship if
    she loses intentionally to a cuter boy

WEDNESDAY, 9/3 - 8:30 - 'Scuse Me While I Miss the Sky (EABF11)
    Eric Idle guest voices as a documentary filmmaker who thinks Lisa
    should specialize in something, so she chooses astronomy, only to
    discover that the town's lights make it impossible to do any
    star searching

9/7 - PRE-EMPTED for the movie "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon"

9/14 - PRE-EMPTED for the movie "The Lost World: Jurassic Park"

9/21 - to be announced; the Emmy Awards are on Fox that night, but
       they begin at 8 PM, and Fox will probably either show an
       hour-long "Emmy Preview" show, or an episode of The Simpsons
       followed by a half-hour preview show
       * If they do decide to air The Simpsons at 7:00, some cities
         in the Eastern and Central time zones may get it in progress
         or even not at all because of NFL football coverage

• SPECIAL NOTE FOR SAN FRANCISCO TYPES: Futurama will NOT be shown at Midnight on KTVU, but at 7 PM on KICU 36 (probably because KTVU can't delay showing the movie as well)

9/7 - PRE-EMPTED in the Eastern and Central time zones by the return
      of The NFL On Fox; the west will get "The Farnsworth Parabox"
      (Professor Farnsworth creates a gateway to a parallel universe)

9/14 - PRE-EMPTED for the movie "The Lost World: Jurassic Park"

9/21 - most likely pre-empted; the Emmy Awards on Fox, and although
       they start at 8:00, expect either an hour-long preview show at
       7:00 or a 30-minute preview at 7:30 with The Simpsons moved
       back to 7:00 that night

9/28 - another NFL Football doubleheader; unless Fox decides to show
       an episode at 7:30 PM, "The Sting" on 8/31 appears to be the
       last episode Fox will air in the east (there should be an
       episode aired 9/28 in the west) - baseball playoffs will be
       on 10/5 and 10/12, World Series game 2 on 10/19, and either
       an old Simpsons Halloween episode or World Series Game 7 on
       10/26

I shall make FOX a monument to nonexistence! Seems like us in the East Coast will never see Jurassic Bark ::starts crying::

Just a correction Don Del Grande informed me that while Jurassic Bark did air in most areas twice, the central and eastern time zones may have pre-empted the episode in question due to football. According to his sources, Jurassic Bark first aired on 11/17/2002, and may have been pre-empted if the station aired football (Most stations had the choice of the early or late game). On 1/5/2002, Jurassic Bark was shown only on the west coast due to a late football playoff game.

Because for all Fox knows, the people who watch animation in prime time are the same people who watch Saturday morning cartoons.

I watched the new Ninja Turtles and the inexplicable-rerun-after-a-decade Back to the Future cartoon since earlier this year - not that I needed a half hour pre-prime-time commercial to learn about them, but the former is interesting at least and the latter is pretty good...
