I also have the ep where Homer and Bart watch "When Buildings Collapse" on FOX. I am sure that will be edited as well.

This sucks. Talk about stupidity.

Does this mean that no stations anywhere are ever allowed to play it until the end of time? I of course agree that it's a stupid idea, so I won't go over that, but since there's no more national syndication schedule, can't individual stations pull out their tapes of it and air it when they feel the time is right?

The show in question was supposed to be shown last night on a local channel. Had the vcr set to tape it and the station replaced it with another show.

I totaly disagree witht hat idea... I mean ok, showing this episode in the next few weeks will be somewhat offensive to most people, including myself, but it would be too much if this episode is never shown again. Especially cuz it's such a GR8 episode. I mean "Friends" (among other shows) show alot of view pictures of NY, including the buildings. Will there be no re-runs of "Friends" either? Of cours enot. That is just nonesense.

I agree with you for the most part...and I think eventually they'll put the episode back. But I don't understand your statement that it eases their conscience. That would imply that they have done something wrong to warrant needing their conscience eased. So I'm not sure what you mean. I don't think the episode simply existing in syndication is any reason for them needing their conscience eased. If they hadn't pulled it and it was shown and people were offended then maybe that would be wrong....and that's probably what they are trying to avoid...so maybe that's what you mean by easing their conscience?
