Arthur Miller wrote a play called "The Crucible" which was made into a movie with WINONA RYDER, who appeared on OFF! SO IT IS THE CURSE! OH MY G-D! The curse is OUT OF CONTROL! It is probably killing people on other planets that we don't even know about! Someday it will kill people who haven't been born yet! OH NO! It probably killed people before TV was even invented! Arthur Miller wrote Death of a Salesman, which was made into a classic film in 1951 starring Fredric March as Willy Loman. Fredric March had earlier played Jean Valjean in Les Miserables (1935), whose prisoner number was, of course, 24601. In The Black Widower, Sideshow Bob is in prison, and his inmate number is 24601.

Whenever I think of "Death of a Salesman" I think of Alf, making a reference to the play when talking about the father in the series, who's first name was "Willie". Alf was making comment on Willie, who was some sort of salesman.

And to connect that to The Simpsons, there is the episode where Milhouse has pogs, and says to Bart, "Remember Alf?".
