Season 5 DVD - Audio Outtake???

A recent review of the Simpsons Season 5 DVD set makes this statement:

"Disc Three presents an audio outtake. Or at least it claims to have one. The package notes we'll get an outtake with guest actor James Taylor, but I couldn't figure out how to access it."

I've been searching for comment about this in newsgroups, but it hasn't come up yet (or I couldn't find it upon numerous searches).

The booklet mentions this Audio Outtake as an extra feature of the episode "Deep Space Homer" (where James Taylor appears). You're supposed to be able to click on an "ear" icon that will take you to the outtake. Does anyone know how you can get to this? I've watched the episode with and without commentary but nothing comes up. One thing I haven't tried is to turn on the "deleted scenes" activated from the episode menu (though I'm not for certain that this episode even has deleted scenes - I'm waiting to view all deleted scenes on disk 4).

I'd greatly appreciate help on accessing this feature. Thanks in advance.

I was able to watch it using a DVD editing program, DVD Shrink. http://www.dvdshrink.info/

Open the disc, and go to Menus/VTS 4/English/Menu 9. This is the James Taylor outtake.

Just watch the episode with the commentary on (and make sure you select it from the menu, don't just press the audio button on the remote or it won't work) and the icon should pop up during one of James Taylor's scenes.

Thanks! This was a big help and I managed to find it.

I had used the "play all with commentary" option before so either it doesn't activate that way or I missed the icon. If you go to the specific episode ("Deep Space Homer") and select "commentary on", it shows up right where the poster said it would.
