Then you didn't see the Futurama "Popplers" episode last week (I think it showed, unpredictably enough, on a Wednesday). I love OFF, but that F'rama was a million times better than all of this seasons eps put together.

That Futurama episode is a repeat from either last season or two seasons ago. While I agree that is a very funny episode, this season's Futurama eps are pretty bad.

At least with the Simpsons, there were about 9 good seasons before it started to get a little weird. Futurama is in either season 4 or 5 and it's already hitting that point.

I'd assumed that the F'rama was a repeat -- even Fox wouldn't be so stupid as to air new eps on Wednesday (...or would they?).

Regardless, I've seen the last 3 seasons of the Simpsons, and I can say without fear of hyperbole that the "Popplers" episode was indeed a million times funnier than all 3 seasons put together. Body of work, I give an edge to the Simpsons over any show ever, but to say that EVERY episode of the Simpsons is better than EVERY episode of F'rama smacks of fanboy-ism.

No, different episodes. The one where they go to Mars with the beetle-cattle was this season. Kiff is dating Amy, she takes the gang to Mars to meet her parents... yadda yadda yadda.

The "poplars" eipsode is from either last season or the season before where Lela discovers tasty crunchy treats on a planet and it turns out that they are actually alien spwan in the larva stage. The aliens come to earth and demand to eat an equal humans in return... yadda yadda yadda.

The honest answer is that I work within the IT industry. At home or at work (and sometimes via laptop from various places) I am linked with a high-speed connection.

Right now, and for the last few months, I have been between large-scale projects and really only have piddly things to do on a daily basis other than manage a staff of 3 who are all good enough at their jobs for me to be fairly hands-off with them.

Throughout my three or so years around this NG, I've appeared and disappeared, quite simply because when it gets too busy, I don't have time, when it slows down, I have (literally) all day.

So I do whatever I can to help my days go by quickly.
