I believe the joke you really want is "Thank you, wait till I actually start playing" or words to that effect. At the COncert for Bangladesh, Ravi was tuning up, the clueless audience not knowing any better they clapped thinking he had "done a song". They didn't really like his music, they liked his connection to George.
