Ditto. Even the huge corporation I work for is too cheap to hook our PC's into the local intranet.

Sorry Bob, but I'm also the complete opposite. I'm on the internet at work, but it's technically my supervisor's computer and I haven't bothered to figure out how else I can access alt.tv.simpsons without Outlook Express, and without him knowing and bitching at me about it!

Fortunately I just got cable internet at home and the connection actually seems faster than the one at work, so I can just hop on at any time and refresh the newsgroup messages :)

I post only at home. I wouldn't think of robbing my company that way. I get paid to work, not to play. If we were allowed to play on a computer at work, it wouldn't be called work.
