reruns

I know this might be a stretch to ask, but for people who watch the simpsons reruns, does anybody know which episodes are rarely shown from the first 10 seasons? It seems that the same 25 or 30 episodes are shown over and over for the most part and i'm sure i've missed quite a few of the first 301 episodes which i'd rather see on the reruns than the ones which have been repeated over and over.

I have not seen the one with Homer and Jacko in years.

It comes down to the local station. The way the Simpsons is currently syndicated (within the US that is) is that they basically sell the rights to individual stations within an area, and each station with the rights gets to pick the time they show the episodes, and which ones they show, how many times in a day, etc. Generally the norm seems to be that the local stations play mostly newer episodes, with it generally being the first 7-9 seasons that are more rarely shown. This generally is because the newer episodes are seen as more profitable (I wouldn't neccasarily agree), plus its possible (I'm not really sure), that they can only show a given episode so many times before they have to renew the rights to it, so maybe the want to use episodes they have more showings left on.

Just recently been played over here in the UK :)
