If they fired anyone, I'd stop watching. All of the actors do a great job and have done a great job since the beginning. It just wouldn't be the same show without them.

Groening wrote like what, two whole episodes? The real genius behind the show was Sam Simon, and once he stepped back from his role, the show was never as consistent.

I think Groening is a great creative mind, at the very least you have to admit he created the main characters for The Simpsons and they've had so much mileage in them, he deserves a lot of credit for that.

There's a huge difference between the voice cast doing a read through on one day and then half-a-day recording on another and a live action sitcom, with four long days of rehearsal and then a full studio day for recording. Animated actors don't even have to learn any lines.

They are VOICE TALENT,.. that's what they do,... They are there to supply voice, not image. So, should we pay singers less music until they show up "on camera" as well?.

One more thing, there really isn't a "camera", it's an animated show.

They _are_ getting a deal with the DVDs because of their own little "work stoppage".

And don't you think the Seinfeld cast is a good example of why the actors _should_ gouge FOX while they can? People like Yeardley Smith may be typecast by The Simpsons and never work again.

She's on the highly-paid personal appearance gravy train for life, why would she care?
