What is Smithers refering to when the audience boo Burns' film and he says that they were saying "Boo-urns"?

The previous poster was from the UK, so if I were really clever I could probably do something creative with the UK in LUKE. Instead, I'll just further clarify, and add that the vowel is extended like "luuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuke", so sometimes it really is hard to tell the cheers from the booze, er, I mean boos.
