Futurama

I never really got into this cartoon.. I mean, I watched bits and pieces of them, with their occational funny moments.. Of course I was never able to sit through the whole thing..

Is it really that boring, or is it just me?

Strange, I thought Luck of the Fryrish sucked ass, for a lack of less crude terms =). I dunno, I thought a lot of the second season showed what Futurama was about, especially in episodes like "Problem with Poplers".

Nope, it's not just you. I think there's some sharp writing there, but I just don't care about the characters.

My thoughts exactly. Whenever I watch it I'm pretty impressed and generally enjoy the show, but there's nothing that makes me want to come back for more. Perhaps the futuristic setting, non-human characters etc. distance the audience? Like you say, I don't care enough about the characters to tune in every week.

Interest opinions. As this, I imagine, is why it's going off the air. Personally, I find the show very funny and enjoyable.

Funny thing is I love sci-fi, so the futuristic settings and aliens don't turn me off. Actually, one of the things I've noticed is much of the later Futurama's are downright cruel.

BTW, love your Wodehouse references. Brings back good memories.
