So the mother "selfishly" starts campaigning about road safety.
What about the "selfish" Hiroshima maidens, young women badly hurt when the atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima back in 1945? They campaigned against nuclear weapons in their "selfishness".
Albert Bigelow served in the navy during WWII, and then became a pacifist. They housed some of the "Hiroshima Maidens" when they came to the US after the war for plastic surgery (not the breast implants that your drool over, work to actually repair the damage of the bombing).
Then Albert Bigelow "selfishly" sailed the Golden Rule into an atomic test site 1958. They faced an injunction about going in, they "selfishly" ignored the injunction and ended up in jail.
Albert Bigelow also "selfishly" participated in the 1961 "Freedom Ride" to desegragate bussing in the US, and got attacked. Poor Jim Peck, who "selfishly" went along was badly beaten. The bus they were riding was burned up. (Jim Peck was "selfishly" part of the crew of The Golden Rule, and also went on the 1947 "Freedome Ride").
Meanwhile, with The Golden Rule out of the picture, Earle and Barbara Reynolds with their children "selfishly" sailed their yacht, The Phoenix, into a nuclear test site.
About a decade later, my friend Bob Cummings and others "selfishly" sailed up to Amchitka in an attempt to sail into a nuclear test site. That "selfish" act started Greenpeace.

You have every right to never set your DVR to record another new episode again. It's not fair to keep the show going 20 years just because it's a fallback "comfort food" type of show you expect to be there at 8 o'clock on a Sunday IF you feel like watching it.
God, by this time "The Flintstones" was long cancelled and had sub- mediocre "The Pebbles & Bam-Bam Show"; you know, you have a remake that's always lesser than the original and much like "Scooby-Doo", it keeps getting more diluted w/ every new incarnation.
