GOOFS / FREEZE FRAME / WHATNOT Debate can be "cut", as there are costs involved - for example, getting the team to the site, and any overtime cost that may be paid to a teacher to be the team's coach, plus expenses for the judges. Besides, if debate can't be cut, then something like Mathletes "can't be cut" either.
