Downloading Simpsons episodes that are of good quality and that I can watch full screen on my television and have as good a quality that I would get watching the episode on Fox?
Does this exist?

Most places online, wherever they are, might offer them at full screen but not in the perfect quality you described. Or it might be small but excellent quality. I would recommend you look into downloading a program called KaZaA ( KaZaA Lite is better though because it contains no "spyware"). Or get mIRC..... there's supposed to be a channel on there where people trade episodes, but I don't know where, exactly.

I just checked KaZaA and there are a lot of episodes there, available for download. When you get kazaa, open it, type "simpsons" in the search box, and select "Video files".
Downloading any type of video file is not very convenient if you're on a dialup connection, however.

It's always an extremely good quality on a small part of the screen and if you maximize the image, the quality drops by a lot.
Well then to answer your question, it's certainly possible to have full screen tv-quality video, but would occupy a shitload of space and most people who make video files to offer online probably just don't want to bother with the space and bandwidth involved.

Not so ... I downloaded over 3gig of simpsons in the course of a month on dial up ... and that was only running approx 8 hours a day.

Well, I would consider that to be inconvenient.
Perhaps if you had a steady enough ISP that would never kick you off when you weren't there, and an extra phone line, that would be tolerable. But I never had that kind of luxury back when I was on dialup.

I'm starting to think your standards are too high :oP Try downloading episodes from FastTrack (Kazaa-lite, Grokster) that are about 200meg each ... at that size they're pretty good quality

They don't "release" an episode til it's been ripped (naturally) verified and distributed to a fair number of ShareReactor.com staff ... this is too ensure it has a good availability in time for it's release.

Patience is a virtue, once the S3+4 DVDs are released, I'm sure they'll be available shortly after for download -- or just get a VCR ... the stuff I record off TV tends to be TV quality. :oP

Season 2 is still being released (there are two episodes left). They will be up probably within a week. Also the Dir commentaries are being archived and will be released as well.
