Is this just plain abstact humour or have i missed something.
Regardless, I found it VERY funny.

Troy told Homer that it was a sham marriage, so when Lovejoy says "speak now or forever hold your peace," you expect Homer to say something about what Troy told him. Instead, he's not paying any attention.
um, it shows homer's mind is obviously on the best sport pump up song ever and not objecting to a sham wedding. Do they play that song in the UK? Seriously, once that thing is in your head it does not come out easily. :-)
