Well, I haven't seen it yet, but it is quite possible, that the shark truly will be jumped, with plenty of distance, tonight. Unless they can pull a great episode out of their ear with a lame idea (like they did with King Size Homer, as Xganon would say: "a very good episode!) I hope for good, but I fear for bad. Hopefully, I will be wrong and pleasantly suprised.

You honestly didn't laugh at "El Homo", or "He's as fat as Marlon Brando and he even takes directions." Or how about that "Carousel Reversal Spray"? Or that protester sign that said "Cancel (x'ed out: Beavis and Butthead) (x'ed out Jackass) Krusty the Klown".
This ep wasn't the greatest, but it certainly wasn't one of the worst. It was just one of those average episodes that's watchable in reruns and has a few laughs (unlike episodes like "Homer the Moe" and "Pokey Mom".)

Ratings have very little to do with jumping the shark, other then that they can be affected by it sometimes. In a lot of cases a beloved show will "jump", but go on for a little while past its welcome because a lot of its fans don't want to give it up.
