Bart comparing Lou to Barry Bonds refers to how the baseball player has gotten into legal trouble due to him alledgedly using steroids. Under investigation by the Bay Area Laboratory Co-operative (BALCO), Bonds was indicted of perjury and obstruction of justice, with him currently a free agent after 14 years playing for the San Franciso Giants.
