I believe that the spelling is "Mxyzptlk." IIRC, he can only be sent back to his native fifth dimension if you can get him to say his name backwards. Or if you can get him back into his beautiful balloon.

When I was a kid, I was repeatedly told by my teachers to "look it up in the dictionary" when I didn't know how to spell a word. However, since the dictionary is usually organized alphabetically order, there's a fundamental problem with that advice. "Oedipus", for example, is particularly problematic.
I'm still haunted. Don't know who Mr. Mxyztplk is? Can't spell it? There was no good way to Google him, so - spell it foe-NET-tick-lee and throw it out on ATS.

Well, there are two (or three...) incarnations of Mr Mxy, but the more modern one is Mxyzptlk (p before t) not Mxyztplk (t before p). Mxyztplk is the version that encountered the Golden Age Superman of the 40s and 50s, while Mxyzptlk has been bedeviling every Superman since.
Of course, if you look carefully at that Superman website, you'd probably already know to pee before tea...
