Heard on th news a few years back that there is a course in college about the simpsons, it discusses the topics and reactions of the Simpsons episodes, does anyone know anything about this?

It's probably at UCLA, they had a class on Keanu Reeves movies for god's sake. But seriously, there are classes that discuss the Simpsons as a part of American culture. I recently took a US popular culture class and about a quarter of the class was dedicated to discussing the Simpsons. There were various articles which were written in different viewpoints. It was pretty interesting, although basically sociological discussions of community and family.
The Platypus is the lowest order of mamalian life, It has a multi-purpose orifice and no teats, Every year 13 platipi are killed for their ducklike bills.

I'm not actually doing a course on The Simpsons, but I am writing a 20,000 word dissertation about The Simpsons, It's Fans and the creativity inspired by the show. My MA is actually in television studies, but it is becoming more and more acceptable to write about shows like The Simpsons for college courses.
What I'm saying is, that you'll probably find that a lot of television studies, cultural studies etc. type of courses may include The Simpson as a part of the course. You'll just have to investigate and find the right one.
