Indeed. They have WAY more coverage then they need. Are they trying to do the whole Super Bowl pre-game show now?

hey I complained when it crossed over into KOTH and Futurama... I guess the fox people thought that seeing the jocks for 30 more minutes was better than Simpsons even... Just move the shows to another night!

Who the hell cares about football now that the Steelers were eliminated in such a fluke. They beared no resemblance to the team that played the entire season... what was I saying? Oh, screw football!

no shit - screw football. and if i'm gonna tape the simpsons as of course i do, i have to sit around until whenever they're done talking about whoever's fur hat and "not being less of a man" or some bullshit. so not only does it drag on and on, but i'm forced to watch it cause you don't know when it's gonna end!!! rrrrr. "oh, i missed another one of jerry's zingers" thank god there's not a new episode on next week so i can not turn on fox at all and avoid the superbowl. mind you i'm not opposed to the game in theory, but i just can't deal with the way fox goes about things. wankers.

pretty good episode tonight, eh? i liked the quiet homer who just hmmmed at stuff and thought. welcome change of pace from him screaming and acting like a buffoon all the time. fine in small doses but woah. i loved him coming in on the donkey at the end! high-larious!

ugh, i need some coffee before i black out.......

Yeah, I got screwed by exactly this. The game was over by 8:00pm, why didn't they go to their prime time lineup? I was out to dinner last night and figured I would be fine with my pre-set recording.

Needless to say, I was incredibly pissed when I returned home and put on a bunch of no-talent dopes rambling on about next week's game! I absolutely love football; I write a column on football for a website; but nothing pisses me off more than when this sort of thing happens.

The best thing about the end of the football season is that you don't have to worry about a bunch of no-talents trying to get air time. Bastards.

I've spent my morning, so far, ignoring posts and threads about last night's ep. I'm very cranky.

You could have it worse. I'm a Packer fan. Seeing their performance against the Rams last week, and the Rams making the Super Bowl, is doubly sickening. :-)

I'm told from someone back home that they didn't show it at ALL in Philadelphia. Although I can see why they did it, it's just too much! Start the game earlier, don't run so many commercials, and/or shut UP when your time slot is over! Yeesh!

They didn't show it in its normal slot, but it is just on now, after the local news here in Philadelphia.

It's a mixture of name-dropping (demonstrating how "up-to-date" the show is), and a mockery of that as well. Only the dumbest of viewers would actually consider that the characters knew who were playing in the Super Bowl.
