Notes for PABF11 (Beware My Cheating Bart)

Hmm, not much to write about in my notes, but enjoyable. The Bart love plot (or at least the way it was set up, which helps a lot) felt like a refreshing angle, and had some decent structure to it. The montage of movie moments (either I didn't get them all or they weren't all parodies) was neat. Flashing handled tastefully (and its aftermath short but sweet). Also notable: using a regular cast member for the girl, not a random popular actress. Homer's "Stranded" subplot was cute without taking too much time; I haven't seen Lost but it's funny, the friend who got me to start on The Simpsons (catching up on nearly 250 episodes in a few months) has now been on a Lost kick on Netflix and encouraging me to join in. Well, maybe.

DYN: ..."WATCH FUTURAMA THURSDAYS AT 10"? ...Lisa doesn't show up until act 4 (I think)? ...Fry and Leela stranded on an asteroid during the universal zoom out?

Goof Shawna is annoyed at the way Jimbo tells her "how every chick in the movie got what was coming to them"; use of the singular "they" bugs me in general, but especially when the sex is known. Why not "got what was coming to her"?

?? I am guessing that the opening elements (not counting the couch gag) have something to do with the Fox 25th anniversary celebration, but is there a particular significance to "now entering Oregon" (under the show title) and/or the Springfield location blackboard, especially given the Lost plot?

The reason it says "Now Entering Oregon" was because there was an interview with Matt Groening published in The Smithsonian this week that explained that Springfield was named after Springfield, Oregon http://www.smithsonianmag.com/arts-culture/Matt-Groening-Reveals-the-Location-of-the-Real-Springfield.html
