Tokyo Rose was the name dubbed by American soldiers for a woman who, on a Japanese radio show called Zero Hour, would attempt to demoral the American troops during World War II. Her real name is Ikuko Toguri, a Japanese-American who, after getting stuck in Japan without an American passport during the war, took a job as a radio broadcaster under the name Orphan Ann. In 1949, she was convicted of treason and was sentenced to ten years in prison. She eventually became pardoned of her acts in 1977.
