Anyone know all the stuff that catches for for no reason?
Example: Homer pouring milk onto corn flakes for Mr. Burns; suddenly it's on fire.
Another one: Bart throws his backpack to Homer, who's driving a car just below. The backpack gets crushed. Then it's afire.
I love those moments!

I think Hans Moleman has two brushes with spontaneous combustion while driving. Once when he's towing that house (birthplace of Edgar Allen Poe IIRC) and Homer forces him off the road and the house starts burning. Another time his car gently rolls off the road (does Otto force him off?) and comes to a nice stop, then suddenly bursts into flames.

The second incident of which you speak comes from the THOH episode that parodies the famous Twilight Zone episode with William Shatner. Bart yells to Otto about a Gremlin being on the side of the bus. There sits Moleman, driving his AMC Gremlin. Otto forces him off the road.
In the episode where Homer goes to heaven and has 24 hours to do something useful, in the Potemkin parody part of the episode, Homer saves the baby from the rolling baby carriage, which crosses the street without being hit by a car, crashes into a wall, and bursts into flame. This is also from a THOH episode.

I once saw a movie where a space ship rotated around to go inside a space station that was also rotating! The movie was called 2001. They were parodying the Deep Space Homer episode of the Simpsons!
